Register with The Grove
Kindergarten to Grade 12 students:
- Registration is now closed for the 2024-2025 school year.
- Registration is open for the 2025-2026 school year.
Registration Requirements
- We can only accept students residing in the Cowichan Valley/School District 79 catchment areas.
- Acceptable forms of identification include a Birth Certificate, Passport, Status card, or Permanent Resident Card (copies of both sides required).
- Proof of residency can be provided through BC Care Card, BC ID Card, BC Driver’s License, Status Card, or current utility bill (copies of both sides required).
How to Submit Documents:
- Fax, scan, or send a picture to grovesecretary@sd79.bc.ca
- Visit our office for photocopying at 1033 Nagle Street (MacKirdy Building).
- Please ensure to check your junk folder for correspondence (check out How to Whitelist for more information).
The Grove K - 9 Nature Collective, Blended & At Home Learning
- Ensure a responsible adult is available daily for student support (check out this link for home facilitator responsibilities).
- Complete the registration form and submit proof of identification, and residency
- Schedule an intake meeting with the administration for program discussion (grovesecretary@sd79.bc.ca | 250-746-0277).
- Schedule an intake meeting with the assigned teacher to develop a Student Learning Plan (SLP).
The Cowichan Valley Performing Arts Academy
- Complete the registration form and submit proof of identification, and residency
- Schedule an interview with the administration for program discussion (info@adagestudio.com & grovesecretary@sd79.bc.ca | 250-746-0277).
- Schedule an intake meeting to develop a Student Learning Plan (SLP).
The Grove Grades 10 - 12 Full-Time Online Learning
- Complete two registration forms: one for full-time enrollment and one for Brightspace account creation.
- Submit Proof of Identity and Residency.
- Complete and submit the Grades 10 to 12 SLP
- Schedule an intake meeting with The Grove principal (grovesecretary@sd79.bc.ca or 250-746-0277).
- Check your email for course login information: username and password.
- Contact your teacher and begin coursework.
Grade 10 - 12 Cross Enrollment (attending SD79 Secondary Schools)
- Consult your school counsellor for course selection.
- Fill out the Brightspace Registration Form (select only the courses you intend start immediately).
- Submit Proof of Identity and Residency.
- Check your email for course login information: username and password.
- Contact your teacher and begin coursework.
Technology Requirements for Online Learning
- Internet access is required.
- Students are encouraged to have a computer or laptop (smart phones or tablets may not be sufficient).
- Access to a printer and a scanning app to print and upload assignments.
- Chrome browser is recommended.
