Questions about The Grove? Check out our FAQs page

Swallowtail Blended Learning

The Swallowtail program helps inquisitive learners connect with the natural world around them while exploring their interests. They get to do this without the structures of a school day so they can foster a genuine connection between teachers, children and the natural world.

Our Story Is Beyond Education

As a District we are always challenging ourselves to be even better for our xe’ xe’ smun’eem, our sacred children. We developed this Strategic Plan through extensive consultation with students, staff, parents, and community members. The commitment and enthusiasm shown in developing this plan has demonstrated how deeply passionate our community is about the education and well-being of our children, our youth, and our community.

The Grove At-Home Program

Homeschoolers are fully supported through the Grove’s At-Home Program as they learn at home. At a time when many families have made the decision to homeschool, without the support found in a structured classroom, the Grove’s At-Home program supports families so that learners can find success in their educational journey.

In the Cowichan School District, we believe...

  • All students can learn

  • In supporting the whole child

  • Learning experiences should be engaging, purposeful and reflective of voice and choice

  • In using strength-based approaches

  • In the importance of Indigenous ways of knowing

  • Strength is found in diversity
