The Grove Programs

The Grove Blended & At Home Learning
- The Grove Blended & At Home Program is predominantly a remote learning program in which the majority of schoolwork is completed at home. Learning resources are facilitated by a BC certified teacher and align with the BC Curriculum. Teachers work collaboratively with each student and their home facilitator to create a personalized program tailored to the student’s strengths and interests. The blended program also offers opportunities to attend some face-to-face classes during the week.
- This program is designed to be delivered by a Home Facilitator, who is most often a parent, guardian, or other family member who can support the child at home full-time.
- This program provides up to $600 in funds to support student learning through 3rd party service providers. More details can be found in the Student Learning Funds link below.
- There are no tuition fees for school-aged students who are Cowichan Valley, BC residents.
The Grove Nature Collective

- The Grove Nature Collective (formally known as Swallowtail) invites inquisitive learners in grades K to 9 to engage with the wonders of nature while pursuing their interests. Our unique blended program unfolds across one to two full days a week, immersing students in a 400-acre outdoor classroom at Providence Farm. Grounded in place-based, experiential learning and fueled by imaginative play, our curriculum encourages students to forge meaningful connections with the world around them.
- At the heart of our approach are student-centred values grounded in attachment theory, fostering genuine connections among teachers, parents, mentors, and children. The program cultivates a nurturing environment where children’s voices are heard, and they actively care for both each other and the environment.
