Brightspace is a cloud-based, software platform for all our 10 to 12 online teaching and learning. Brightspace is owned by D2L and is Canadian-owned and was developed in Waterloo, Ontario.
All students and educators in SD79 get a free Office 365 Education account, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Microsoft Teams (plus additional tools). Use your student email to log in (studentnumber@sd79.bc.ca). Contact your teacher or The Grove (grovesecretary@sd79.bc.ca).
School District 79, is located in the Cowichan Valley on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. It consists of numerous elementary, middle, Secondary schools, and alternative schools for programs like blended programs, academies, and online programs.
The Numeracy and Literacy Assessments are provincial graduation requirements. They are offered in November, January, April and June. Please contact The Grove at 250-746-0277 or email at grovesecretary@sd79.bc.ca before you intend to write an assessment to add your name to our list. The best way to learn more about the assessments is to work through the online or printable samples (linked below).
